Andy Ruiz Wants Location For Anthony Joshua Rematch Changed From Saudi Arabia

Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. is not in support of having his rematch with Anthony Joshua taking to Saudi Arabia instead he would prefer New York.

Eddie Hearn announced last week that the duo rematch will be been taken place in Saudi Arabia but now it is a different story coming from the Mexican who denied signing to anything about the fight location yet.

The 29-year-old is the first Mexican ever to be boxing heavyweight and he earned the status beating the highly-fancied former champion in a seven-round knockout to gain three heavyweight titles - IBF, WBA, and WBO - on June 1 at Madison Square, Brooklyn, New York.

"I have not signed anything yet, we are negotiating everything," Ruiz told ESPN in Mexico, "We have to see where we negotiate with my team. I would like it in New York."

Before the Middle East country was announced to host the bout, Cardiff and London were suggested but the unified heavyweight champion wanted the fight taking to his native country because he is the country's first boxer ever to reach the feat.

It is understood that Ruiz risk facing a lawsuit if the fight did not hold in Saudi as the organizers have already released £33 million for the event which is slated for December 7.

Ruiz added threatening to beat the Briton once again saying, "I think he will want to run a little longer move, but he is too big, he has many muscles and it will be very difficult for him."
