Wimbledon 2019: Novak Djokovic Routs Hubert Hurkacz To Enter Round of 16
Winning the third round-match did not come easy for Novak Djokovic as he was faced with strong resilience from Hubert Hurkacz who forced him to lose a set before he was overpowered and outlasted.
Djokovic made it into the round of 16 after playing through four sets 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-4 saving all three break points faced with the Swiss in the bid for his sixteenth Grand Slam title.
In the other hand, Hubert saved thirteen break points faced against the top in the first set and served a 1-2 forehand at a tie-break to win the second set. He subsequently waned in the rest of the match as Djokovic progressed to win.
"Credit to Hurkasc for playing well," Djokovic said afterwards "He pushed me. He served well. He attacked the ball mid-court. He gave it all and played a great quality match."
Djokovic will face in the next match Ugo Humbert who eliminated ATP NextGen player Felix Auger Aliassime in three sets 6-4, 7-5, 6-3.
