Felix Auger-Aliassime has had a memorable start to his first appearance in Wimbledon, edging out Vasek Pospisil in opening round match.

The 19th seed broke back from a set down against his compatriot, Pospisil, to win his first Gram Slam match at Wimbledon in four sets 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.

"It's a good achievement for me," Aliassime said on winning his first Gram Slam match "At the same time with the level I'm playing now and my ambitions, I look forward and I look to go even further than that."

This season, thus far, has been incredible for the Canadian who has appeared in three ATP Tour-level finals - Rio, Open, Lyon Open and Stuttgart Open - en route to Wimbledon where he became the first millennial to feature in men's only tournament.

Aliassime, in the next match, will meet Frenchman Corentin Moutet who staged a thrilling comeback and upset veteran player Grigor Dimitrov in five sets,  2-6, 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-1.
