Tyson Fury Announces Deontay Wilder Rematch Date, Promised To Knock Him Out
Fury came out of three-year retirement only to take on the WBC heavyweight champion in a fight that ended in a controversial draw in December last year. Afterwards, both fighters argued that the fight should have been awarded to them as they both gave difference reasons for their claims.
On Saturday, he announced the date slated for the rematch at a Q&A event theme: 'An Evening With Tyson Fury' at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, United Kingdom.
"The rematch has been confirmed and signed. 22nd of February, it's on...the rematch," he announced to the audience at the event.
"This time I haven't been out the ring for three year, this time I haven't been abusing too much alcohol, and this time I am going to knock him the f***out."
Since his return from returned after a spell of depression, he won his first fight in June by knocking out German undefeated heavyweigh Tom Schwartz in round two at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
