Tottenham Hotspur Win Big In Shirt Deal With AIA
The window transfer is still open and clubs are busy making necessary deals ahead of the start to the new season but Tottenham have signed a different contract from that of a player and it is a £320 million shirt deal with an insurance company, AIA.
AIA and the North London-based club have been doing business for six years now and the new deal signed on Thursday will keep both parties in the business of shirt sponsorship for another eight years.
The shirt deal is a record-high for the club which stands to make £40 million a year from the sponsorship deal but it yet trailed what Manchester United are making with Chevrolet - Red Devils make £50 million a year from a seven-year deal signed with the US-based automakers and that is the highest for a club in the Premier League.
There are not many players linked to Spurs this summer but Pochettino Mauricio has avoided not bringing any new intakes like he did last season and signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for £55.4 million which potentially may rise to £64 million with add-ons.
