'The Lighthouse' Gets First Official Trailer With Robert Pattison In Lead Role
You will not have to wait until next Batman film before you see Robert Pattison on the screen but not in a Warner Bros' film as he starred alongside with Willem Dafoe in A24's film 'The Lighthouse'.
Pattison who played as Ephraim Winslow would not have to do any superhero stunts in the film and as teased by the clip released on Tuesday, he acted as a worker in the lighthouse on a remote island in the middle of the sea.
Produced in black and white, the film is more about the gloomy fate often faced in the maritime, however, not as it is today but as it was before the advent of modern technology.
However, Batman-to-be and his onscreen colleague Thomas Wake (Dafoe) were both left to fight for their lives on a remote island as huge sea waves batter the lighthouse leaving the inside flooded with seawater.
The film, directed by Robert Eggers, who also directed The Witch for Pulse Films in 2015 has received fair criticisms and he has been applauded from Rory O'Connor who said in his review, "The Lighthouse, brilliantly confirms that taste of devilry and narrative subterfuge."

The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19 and is expected to make its debut in the cinemas on October 18.
