Stevie Wonder To Undergo Kidney Transplant

Stevie Wonder announced to his fan at a musical concert that he would be going under the knife for a kidney transplant later in the year.

There have been rumours going around about the "Living For The City" singer's medical condition for a while now but he wanted his fans to have no fears because the rumours are true and that he already has an organ donor for the operation set for September.

"So what's gonna happen is this. I'm going to have surgery. I'm going to have a kidney transplant in September of this year," he told the crowd mid-way performing his hit song 'Superstitious'.

"I'm all good, I'm all good. I'm all good. I have a donor, It's all good...I want you to know I came here to give you my love and to thank you for your love."

Rumours about the iconic singer struggling with his health first started on YouTube before Detroit Free Press Report confirmed the rumours that Wonder has a serious health-related issue but it is still at a . "manageable" stage.

In spite of the health challenges faced by the 69-year-old, he yet wants to continue with the tour and would be appearing on stage for his gig in Dublin on July 9.
