Snoop Dogg Criticizes Pay Disparity Between Female And Male Football Team At The World Cup

Hip Hop iconic artist Snoop Dogg has come out to speak against the disparity in what women's football team get compared to male footballers from the same competition. 

Sunday was a day to remember for United States women's team which won for second time in a row the Women's World Cup by beating the Netherlands 2-0 in the final. 

However, the winners of the tournament only received $250,000 in payout plus bonus including winning prize of $4 million. In effect, each players in the team will get an estimate of about $90,000 for emerging of the champions. 

Snoop's take on the payment is that women's team deserve getting as much as men would get. Bringing his points home, he used the  US men's team as a point of reason for calling for equality in pay. 

"Food for thought. Shout out to the US Women's Soccer team for their fourth world cup," the Los Angeles-based rapper said in an Instagram update. 

"What I want to talk about is...they only get $90,000 per player but the men if they win it they will get $500,000 per player. The sorry-ass f***ing men from the U.S soccer team, everyone's s***, ain't ever gonna win s***, can't even get out the f***ing first round."

France got a whopping $38 million for winning the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia. That is an enormous gap comparing the winning prize money to 'what US women's team got from their on Sunday.
