Samuel Edozie, Nigerian Teenager Who Signed To Manchester City
Manchester City edged out their Premier League rivals Chelsea in a race for Millwall's youngster Samuel Edozie who signed with the club a £540,000 deal which could potentially rise to £2 million with add-ons.
Before Maurizio Sarri left Chelsea for Juventus, he launched a hunt for the Nigerian winger who is one of EFL Championship leading prospect but did not see his bid through before leaving for Juventus in a three-year contract.
Blues strongly needed the 16-year-old to choose them over other interested clubs and reportedly at some points invited him to their training ground where he met with England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek who was a product of Chelsea academy.
