Real Madrid Launch 'Operation 200' For Man. United Star Paul Pogba, Plan To Put Five Players On Market
Real Madrid are going hard for Manchester United star Paul Pogba and have launched what they called 'Operation 200' to see their bid for the midfielder through.
What do Real mean by Operation 200? According to reports, it is the move by the club's manager Zinedine Zidane who plans to put five players on the market in the bid to raise £200 million to bring the Frenchman over to Santiago Bernabeu.
Amongst players that are set to be offloaded by Real are striker Gareth Bale, attacking midfielder James Rodriguez, Isco, Marco Ascensio and Dani Cabellos.
Already, it is already known that Zidane intends to sell players in the team who he deemed not fit in his game plan and the Welsh international, Bale and his Colombian teammate Rodriguez top in consideration for a potential move.
United have put a benchmark of at least £150 million to facilitate talks with Real on the player who joined the team in a club-record signing of £98 million from Juventus in 2016.
To actualise a move for Pogba, Isco and Ascensio have been placed on the market for £72 million apiece. Napoli and Atletico Madrid are reportedly in a race for Rodriguez whilst Bale seemed to be stranded with no clubs showing strong interest either for a loan move or permanent deal.
Pogba is currently in training with the team for their preseason tour but he strongly fancies a move to Spain and a deal with the Spaniards at United's asking price will make him one of the most expensive players in the world.
