Rafael Benitez Appointed Manager Of Chinese Side Dalian Yifang

Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang is the new home for Rafael Benitez and has been appointed as the club's new manager on Monday.

Benitez contract with Newcastle United expired on June 30, bringing his three-year reign at the club he joined from Real Madrid to an end.

The 59-year-old confirmed his new adventure in a tweeted clip with a caption that reads: "After a long path...We start a new challenge. I'm happy to begin this new project with Dalian Yifang."

In an official letter sent to the club, he stated his reasons for leaving despite wanting to extend his contract and that has to do with club's "vision" which said does not agree with his.

However, Benitez, led the club to finish in 13th position of the Premier League last season. Having said that, it was him who led Magpies to win the EFL Championship and gained promotion to the Premier League in 2016-17.
