Nigerian Monarch Wants To Buy Chelsea FC

Amongst the biggest club in Europe is no doubt Chelsea FC, owned by Russian migul Roman Abramovic, having a valuation of about £2 billion. Of course, it is an attractive club for any interested buyers.

However, at a time, there were speculations that Mr Abramovic has had enough with the club, and would like to put it up on the market, but that was later dismissed after Britian's billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe showed interest in taking over ownership.

That being said, a Nigerian monarch, Olowo of Owu, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has also made his interest in buying the Premier League club known. On Sunday, the Oba was quoted as saying, "I want to buy Chelsea. I am a fan of Chelsea."

The Olowu of Owu is a highly reverend monarch from the South Western part of Nigeria with rich cultural background and the Oba is ranked amongst the richest monarchs in the country.

Chelsea is currently building that new £1 billion stadium with 60,000 seating capacity and its owner, Mr Abramovic, has often declined offer from many interested buyers.
