Nicola Pepe: Napoli Agree In Principle To £72 Million Deal For Lille's Winger
Lille and Ivory Coast winger Nicolas Pepe has agreed in principle to a £72 million (€80m) deal in a move to Italian Serie A side Napoli, says the club president Gerard Lopez.
The Ivorian has been opened by his to leave the French club since February, and aside from his agreement with Napoli deal terms, he is also strongly linked to four other top European clubs - Manchester United, Liverpool Inter Milan and Arsenal.
"Napoli have satisfied our request of 80m euros," Lopez to Tuttosport, "Now, it will be up to the player to decide where to go, also on the basis of other proposals that his agents received from four clubs."
United and Liverpool might not be poling to sign the 24-year-old but Le10 Sport revealed that Arsenal are in a good position to contend for the player as Napoli edge closer to bringing him to San Paolo Stadium.
Lopez went further to say, "Pepe will return from holiday on Monday and I think he will make his mind up halfway through the week."
Pepe joined the Ligue 1 2018-19 season runners-up in a five-year deal in 2017 after a loan spell at Orleans and was instrumental to the club reaching the second place of the league scoring 21 goals in 41 appearances during the season.
