Manchester United Urge Inter Milan To Speed Up Bid For Romelu Lukaku
Inter's £54 million offer for the Belgian was declined by United which are understood to be demanding £75 million for the player who joined the team from Leicester in 2017. However, time is now crucial as both teams have two weeks to reach an agreement.
Lukaku has been Antonio Conte's favourite player since the Italian was at Chelsea and now at Inter, he yet remained linked to the forward he missed out on at Chelsea.
"You know very well that I like this player (Romelu Lukaku)," Conte said recently "Also in the past when I was Chelsea's coach and I tried to bring him."
Technically, United wanted him to stay because having Marcus Rashford only in the forward might not all go well with the club, and Alexis Sanchez has been struggling to be in top form since he join the team from Arsenal.
That being said, United yet have warned the Italians their offer might be declined if a contract signing is not done before deadline - window closes in England on August 5, however, that different to Serie which closes on August 23.
