Manchester United have started the search for Romelu Lukaku's replacement should he leave the club for Inter Milan in this transfer window and Lyon's Moussa Dembele is reportedly coasting atop in United's consideration.

Inter have two weeks to complete a move for Lukaku after their previous offer of £54 million was declined for not meeting up with club's valuation of the player - an offer of £75 million has been demanded for to facilitate discussions with the Italians.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who led the club to finish sixth in the Premier League Last season, in an interview mainatined that he still believe in his players regardless.

"I'm sure we could do well, but it's both short term and long term. When we're working on something that means we've identified something that could improve us," he said

The Norwegian missed out on signing Leicester centre-back Harry Maigure in this window but has thus far brought in two new intakes - Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

However, Dembele, joined the Ligue 1 side last year and has yet four season to run in his contract. Since he arrived at the club, he has a record of 15 goals in 33 appearances in the domestic league.
