Lille: Arsenal Agree To £72 Million Deal Offer For Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal have joined in on the race for Lille's winger Nicola Pepe and have agreed in principle to a £72 million (€80m) deal offer with the club for the Ivorian winger.

Just as Arsenal have done, Lille's president Gerard Lopez confirmed that Napoli have reached an agreement with the club at the stipulated asking price, but are only willing to pay annual wages of £3.6 million whilst the player's agent Samir Khiat is demanding £4.5 million.

"Napoli  have satisfied our request of 80m euros," Lopez told Tuttosport "Now, it will be up to the player to decide where to go, also on the basis of other proposals that his agents received from four clubs."

The Ivorian representatives are understood to have met with Arsenal over the deal for the player which reportedly is expected to be finalised in coming days.

However, Pepe who joined the club in 2017 after a loan stint at Orleans, have not only been strongly linked to Arsenal and Napoli, but also to Manchester United, Juventus and Inter Milan.
