Leroy Sane: Pep Guardiola Confirms Bayern Munich Interest But Wants Player To Stay At Manchester City
Bayern Munich are in serious need of a suitable winger for which Manchester City's Leroy Sane has been spotted but his manager Pep Guardiola wants the player to remain at the club.
Sane has been linked to the Bundesliga champions to replace their exited players Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, both who resigned from professional football after their contract expired.
Guardiola admitted the German side have been in talks with the club for the 23-year-old for a while now, but in his opinion, he would suggest to the player to stay with the team.
"Leroy is our player and hopefully he can stay," Guardiola said when asked about Munich's interest "For a long time they talk about their interest (in him)."
Munich have reportedly presented £70 million offer to City and that was declined despite it being double the amount he joined the club for in 2016 from Schalke 04. However, Should they have to open transfer talks with Germans, City have put a price tag of £90 million on the player.
In two seasons already spent in the five-year signed with the club, Sane has won with City one FA Cup, two EFL Cup and two Premier League titles - in the 2018-19 season, the team won the first English domestic treble - and has a record of 25 goals in 89 appearances.
