Laurent Koscienly Agrees On Personal Terms With Rennes
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscienly is reportedly set for a potential move this summer after agreeing on personal terms with the Ligue 1 Rennes.
The 33-year-old did not join the team at their preseason training session neither did he start for the team in their 3-0 win over Fiorentina in the International Champion Cup on Saturday. As a result, his manager Unai Emery has hinted at the possibilities of stripping off him the captain badge if he failed to secure a deal and return to the club.
Despite having a year to run in his contract, the Frenchman does not seem to be hoping to remain at Arsenal as he is strongly linked to the Rennes according to French outlet RMC and also understood to be linked to Lyon and Bordeaux.
Laurent joined Arsenal from Lorient in 2010 under Arsene Wenger and in the nine years spent at the club, he has some honours attached to his spell which include winning with club FA Cup (2013-14, 2014-15) and finishing as UEFA Europa League runners-up in 2018-19.
