Gareth Bale To Leave Real Madrid "Soon" Says Zinedine Zidane

It will soon be over for Gareth Bale at Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid confirmed that the Welsh international is close to making his way out of the club.

Bale has been tipped for an exit since the return of the Zinedine Zidane and was amongst the list of five players put on the market to facilitate Manchester United player Paul Pogba's move.

The club Algerian manager did not include the 30-year-old in the team starting line-up in their 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich on Saturday in the International Champions Cup in Houston. He blamed his decision on the forward already being lined up for departure from the club.

"He is very close to leaving," Zidane said explaining why Bale did not appear in the match "We hope he leaves soon, it would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team."

There has not been any substantial bid for Gareth but it is understood that Bayern Munich have indicated their interest in him and any other Real top players tipped to leave this summer.

Currently, the Bundesliga side are in dire need to replace their two exited players - Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben - and have been linked to Manchester City's Leroy Sane with £70 million offer which has been declined.

Further explaining the reason for his decision, he added, "The exit is the coach's decision, and also of the player, who knows the situation. The situation will change, I do not know if in 24 or 48 hours, but it will, and it's a good thing for everyone."

Gareth has been a striker at Santiago Bernabeu for six seasons and won with the club four Champions League titles, one Spanish La Liga and Copa del Rey title.
