Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho Links With Return Move To Liverpool

It is beginning to seem as Philippe Coutinho will be on his way back to Premier League, in fact, to Liverpool after a season and a half spell at Barcelona.

Coutinho's £142 million transfer to Barcelona was a dream move come true for the Brazilian who was deemed as a suitable replacement to fill in the gap left off in the team by Neymar Jr who moved to Paris Saint Germain for a record-breaking deal of £198 million in 2017.

Manchester United have made their interest in the attacking midfielder known but might not land him at Old Trafford as the player still has strong feelings for his former team, Liverpool.

The 27-year-old is believed to be linked to a number of clubs across Europe but a return to Liverpool is one he might favour eventually, and the club chairman Tom Werner is aware of Coutinho's desire to return.

"I have only good things to say about Philippe," Werner told UK-based tabloid Liverpool Echo  "I think he left Liverpool because he wanted to play for the two big Spanish clubs [speaking of Barcelona and Real Madrid].

Werner also added that Brazilian "probably regrets his decision" as they tried to convince him to stay and believe in the club's prospects before moving to Barcelona.
