Barcelona: Antoine Griezmann Joins Club From Atletico Madrid In Five-year Contract With Buyout Clause Of £717 Million

Antoine Griezmann has finally left Atletico Madrid to join their La Liga rivals FC Barcelona in a move that was completed after payment of £107 million was made to settle his buy-out clause.

The Frenchman ended a five year spell at Atletico despite having four years to run in his contract and signed to a five-year contract with a release clause of a whopping £717 million with Catalan side on Friday.

Griezmann's move makes him the sixth most expensive player in football trailing players like Neymar Jr (PSG), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona), Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid) and Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona).

During his reign at the club which he joined from Real Sociedad in 2014, he has a record of 133 goals in 256 appearances and won with club the Europa League title, Uefa Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup.
