Arsenal Director Josh Kroenke Responds To Fans Criticism, Unai Emery Says Club Intend To Sign "Very Big, Expensive Players"

Arsenal fans' criticism has reached the table of the club executives and its director Josh Kroenke has come out to respond to the grievances of their supporters and likewise is club manager Unai Emery who has revealed they hope to sign "very big, very expensive players".

In a signed letter sent to the club by the fans on Monday, owner Stan Kroenke was accused of using the club as an investment tool rather than putting the club in a better position, making necessary changes that will return it to its past glory.

The aggrieved group also accused the owner of being "passive" and that they have been marginalised to the point they feel like they are at a "crossroad" with the club.

In response to the letter, Josh called fans attentions to every effort they have made to improve on the club in terms of infrastructure and stated that what is necessary is having the right people in the right place and winning trophies.

"For us, the most important thing to achieve was not simply change for the sake of change," Josh said, "But to ensure we put the right people in the right roles to work together in a positive environment to achieve our stated goal of winning silverware both domestically and in Europe."

In the same vein, Unai has revealed his plans to go after "very expensive" players and spend really big in this transfer window.

"We have very good players and very good young players who can progress to take and get big performances with us," Unai said in a statement "We are very, very demanding and we are first speaking about the possibility to sign very big, very expensive players."

The Spaniard, 47, led Arsenal to finish fifth in Premier League in debut season 2018-19 and as UEFA Europa League runners-up after a 4-1 loss to Chelsea.
