Queen's Club Championship: Feliciano Lopez Defeats Gilles Simon In Final, Wins Second Fever-Tree Championship Title

Spanish player Feliciano Lopez ended his title drought for two seasons by winning the Queen's Club Championship in three sets 6-2, 6-7(4), 7-6(2) on Sunday.

Lopez, who entered the competition with a wildcard ousted eighth seed Felix Auger Alliassime to reach the final and lived up to expectation, battling through tie-breaks against Gilles Simon to earn his second Fever-Tree Championship title.

He was off for wrapping up the match in second set but Simon broke back from 3-5 and forced him through tiebreak as the final round coasted to a decider.

Simon held on through the second tiebreak at the decider but Lopez secured straight four match points to be the champion.

The two-time finalist admitted he had a tough final against the Frenchman and described his triumph at the competition as "the best moment" of his career better than he was in 2017 when he first lift the trophy.
