Maurizio Sarri Wants To Leave Chelsea, Links With Move To Juventus
Chelsea Manager Maurizio Sarri has requested to leave after leading the team to win the club's second Uefa Europa League title on Wednesday.
The Italian has only spent a year with the club he joined from Napoli last summer as a replacement for Antonio Conte who has just been appointed as Inter Milan manager.
Sarri in his debut season was able to return Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League having finished third in the Premier League. Also, he was able to lead the team to the final of the Carabao Cup but lost in a penalty shootout with Manchester City.
However, Sarri's future seemed to be set for Italian Serie A where he has been speculated to have been tipped to replace Juventus' former manager Massimiliano Allegri who left the club earlier this month.
It is understood that the 60-year-old has discussed his request with Chelsea's director Marina Granovskaia and has promised him his request will be passed up to the club owner Roman Abramovich.
