Maurizio Sarri Says Coaching At Juventus Is The Climax Of His Career

Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has completed his move back to his home country where he will be coaching Juventus having sealed a three-year deal.

Sarri returned Chelsea to Champions League and won the Europa League in his debut season at the club, which of course was his first experience in English football. Despite that achievement at Chelsea, Sarri told the club he wanted out and was paid £5 million in compensation after an agreement was reached.

Having said that, during his presentation as Juve's new manager, the 61-year-old described his appointment as the "climax" of his career.

"Juve are the best Italian club right now and offered me a chance to return to Italy. It's the crowning achievement of a long career," Sarri said in his speech "I'm happy to be at the most important team in Italy and this is a further step forward after the experience at Chelsea."

Sarri who has not worked outside Italy until Chelsea will be replacing Massimiliano Allegri who stepped down after winning five consecutive Serie A title with Juventus and has chosen to rest from the sport for a year.
"The Opportunity was given by Juventus and it is I think also the climax of the career. I feel I have respected everybody...Chelsea FC had a lot of technically gifted players but with diverse characteristics, less fluid but just as solid."

"I realised being in England how amazing their stadiums are, the atmosphere in football in Italy has to change through infrastructure."

Despite all that beautiful stadium in England, there is another reason that attracted Sarri to Juventus and it is no other but Ronaldo who he intended to help reach new career height,

He said: "Training Cristiano Ronaldo will be yet another step forward. I'd like to help him break some new records. When you have a player with the qualities of Paulo Dybala or Cristiano they can play in any role. What can change is only the interpretation of the role."
