Manchester United Forward Romelu Lukaku Agrees To £180,000-A-Week Inter Milan Deal
Romelu Lukaku edges closer to leaving Manchester United for Italian Serie A side Inter Milan after agreeing to a deal from which he would earn £180,000-a-week in wages.
United's intentions to keep the Belgian failed because he would rather seek a new challenge elsewhere and Inter are ready to meet up with demands for him to leave. Meanwhile, whilst linked to Inter, the forward is also understood to be connected to Juventus but he is now set join Antonio Conte at San Siro.
For a move to be initiated, United required that the interested club dole out £75 million, an amount paid to secure his move from Everton in 2017 before the forward will be allowed to leave.
Already, Lukaku has fallen out of favour with Ole Solksjaer Gunnar who often prefered to play Marcus Rashford instead of him. United finished the season in sixth place during which the former Everton forward scored 12 goals in 32 appearances.
The 26-year-old who has three years to run in his contract with United finished his spell at the club with a title won and has a record of 28 goals in 66 appearances.
