Juventus And Matthijs de Ligt Agree To Terms On Leaving Ajax
Matthijs de Ligt and Juventus have agreed to personal terms to facilitate player's move from Ajax on a five-year contract this summer.
De Ligt could potentially earn as much as £270,000-a-week from the deal and could be up to £415,000-a-week if add-ons are to be considered. However, Juventus plan to include a buy-out clause of whopping £135 million in the contract.
Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be in contact with Ajax for the defender but Juve are in pole to land a deal with the Dutch player. Potentially, de Ligt will be the first signing under the Serie A side's newly appointed manager Maurizio Sarri.
The 19-year-old gained attention to himself for leading the club to win the Dutch League and Cup double. In addition, his contributions to the club at the Champions League was another that made him a defender highly sought after.
