The race for the first billionaire in hip hop is finally over and it has fallen to Jay-Z's lot according to a Forbes' report.
Considering the valuations of all the business ventures and possessions the "99 Problem" rapper and now business magnate has under his control, officially he is now a billionaire - without including what his wife, Beyonce has in networth.
Jay-Z made his debut in the music industry with his famous album "Reasonable Doubt" in 1996 and has since released 13 studio album, one soundtrack album and five collaborative albums.
Between then and now, he has won 22 Grammy Awards and sold up to 36.2 million album copies in the U.S alone according to Nielsen Music. He topped the Billboard 200 Album chart for 14th times with his 13th studio album "4: 44" in 2017.
