French Open: Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka Knock Out In Third Round
Top seed Naomi Osaka and her American counterpart Serena Williams are both out of the competition having lost their matches in the third round on Saturday.
The Japanese and US Open champion was beaten in straight sets 6-4 6-2 by German player Katerina Siniakova and Serena also lost her title bid in straight sets 6-2 7-5 by her compatriot Sofia Kenin.
Naomi lasted for just an hour and a quarter with the German who converted three break points as she committed 38 unforced errors.
"It is incredible, it is something I can't believe," Siniakova said afterwards "Roland Garros brings out my best and I hope it will continues."
Siniakova will face American player Madison Keys in the fourth round.
