French Open: Novak Djokovic To Face Alexander Zevrev In Quarter-final
Novak Djokovic outclassed his German opponent Jan-Lennard Struff in the fourth round to book a spot in the quarter-final in his bid for the second title.
The 2016 champion contained Struff offensive style of play by the use of his forehand and backhand drop shot and converted five break points to rout the 29-year-old on his 10th consecutive appearance at competition.
In an hour and a half, Struff knew his fate against the world no. 1 to whom he lost three sets 6-3 6-2 6-2 on their second ATP FedEx meetings. The Serb would progress to play against German veteran Alexander Zverev in the quarter-final.
"I have plenty of experience, I think, dealing with situation where you're facing break points or where it's tense," Djokovic said admitting to strong contest faced from Struff "I have played plenty of tight matches in my career that I can rely on that experience. I think it's good to be tested from that perspective."
