DMX To Star As Detective White In Upcoming Film "Chronicle Of A Serial Killer"

It is not a strange thing to see DMX starring in movies but in oncoming "Chronicle Of A Serial Killer", he will be playing in a role that is different from the character he portrays as a rapper either his previous films.

In the upcoming film, X will be in a lead role as Detective White in the film - a role that he is not peculiar with - assigned to hunt down the villain played by Brendan Sexton.

X's role was actually meant for Michael Madsen but was dropped from the film for DUI charge he was arrested for in March when he drove his SUV into a pole in Malibu, Los Angeles. However, the film director, Steve Stanulis, is confident in casting the rapper based on the fact that he will "bring a different dynamic to the role."

"When my casting director suggested DMX it immediately resonated with me as a perfect it," Stanulis said, "I have no doubt he is going to bring a different dynamic to the role and I'm excited to have him part of this talented cast."

The film production is understood to be ongoing in New York and the "X Gon' Give It To Ya" rapper will be working alongside Tara Reid, Eric Roberts and Aly Mang.
