Diego Maradona Wants To Be Manchester United Manager
Diego Maradona has offered himself as the one who can turn fortunes around for Manchester United should they need his service in the future.
The 58-year-old who is currently football club manager at Dorados in Mexico second-tier believes he has what it takes to get the job done for the English side.
United haven't won the Premier League title for six consecutive seasons - the last was in 2012-13 under Sir Alex Ferguson - and will be in the Champions League next season for the second season in a row, having the season in the sixth position only to return to the Europa League competition.
During an interview, the Argentine told the FourFourTwo magazine that the club needs him as a manager to return them to their glory days of winning trophies.
"If Manchester [United] need a coach, I'm the man to do it," he told the magazine "I know they sell lots of shirts around the world, but they need to win trophies too. I can do that for them."
Given his talk on the team, the former FC Barcelona player praised Ander Herera who just moved to Real Madrid but believed Paul Pogba needs to do more in the team.
The club's manager Ole Solksjaer Gunnar started off incredibly well as a caretaker manager but soon after signing a three-year deal with the club, his performance took a downward spiral and leading to forfeiture Champions League spot after a winning run of 2-in-12 games.
