NBA Playoffs: Houston Rockets Take Game 3 With 126-121 Win Over Golden State
Golden State conceded Game 3 to Houston Rockets which held on through overtime to win 126-121 aided by James Harden and Eric Gordon.
Warriors came off from 11 points deficit from the first half and fought through the fourth quarter for dominance as the game progressed into overtime.
Late in overtime, Harden leapt for a three-point shot and connected to widen Rockets' lead. After Durant failed to knock down a three-point shot, Harden floated a two-point shot to clinch Game 3 victory for Rockets.
Potentially as a result of fatigue, Steve Curry blew out a wide-open dunk in the overtime with 20 seconds that could have kept Golden State in the contest for Game 3.
"A couple more shots go my way, this game could be different - but that's basketball for you," said Curry who finished the game 17 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds - a performance lower than his career average 23.5 per cent "If I'm out there playing, I have to produce, and it just didn't happen tonight."
Harden led the standouts for Rockets with 41 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds and Gordon followed with 30 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds while Warriors' Draymond Green put triple-double on the board with 19 points, 10 assists, 11 rebounds.
