Golden State Warriors kept a clean slate with Portland Trail Blazers to reach their fifth consecutive NBA finals after winning in overtime by 119-117 on the road to Moda Center in Game 4 of the Western Conference final.
In the absence of Kevin Durant who was ruled out for calf injury, Draymond Green joined in with Steve Curry notching up triple-doubles in the last game of the series.
The two-time MVP finished with 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists whilst Green recorded his second triple-double in a row putting up 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Portland was set for a breeze through the game with a 17-point lead in the third quarter but Warriors staged a comeback and wiped off the deficit to force the game into overtime with a late three-pointer from Klay Thompson with 1:48 seconds remaining.
Thompson did a good job at holding off Lillard Damian from having enough space to himself especially late in the fourth stopping him from having a good sight of the rim for a three-point dunk in last 30 seconds.
Undoubtedly, Lillard is an awesome player and he proved that in overtime, had Thomspon blinked it could have been a different story but since the game would definitely one way, Golden State outlasted Blazers for a 4-0 lead in the series.
Lillard finished with 28 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds whilst Meyers Leonard C.J led the side with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
"We've been here before. We've seen everything," Steve boasted of his team "Every experience you can imagine. So we relied on that."
Meanwhile, C.J McCollum had shoved Warriors off the lead with a jumper to put Portland ahead but Alfonso McKinnie put Warriors back in the lead and Green wrecked Portland with a three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining in the overtime.
