NBA Playoffs: Golden State Warriors Edge Out Houston Rocket 104-99 To Lead 3-2 In Series

James Harden dropped 31 points, four rebounds, and eight assists in Houston Rockets' 104-99 defeat on the road to Golden State in Game 5 of the Western Conference semi-final series.
Warriors took the series lead by 3-2 despite Kevin Durant going out with calf injury late in the third quarter leaving the Steve Curry who notched up 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists with the task to lead the team through.
Shortly after Durant left the court, Rockets overtook the lead but was shortlived as Curry fired a three-point and followed with a two-point shot to put Golden State back in the lead by 82-79 in the last 7.07 minutes.
It turned very chaotic in the last 18.6 second after Harden dropped in a two-point to close the gap 99-102 and needing a three-point shot to level the scores, but that expectation fell short as Kevon Looney connected Klay Thompson with the ball and he hit a game-winning dunk with 4.1 seconds remaining.
Thompson led the standouts for the Golden States with 27 points, 4 rebounds and an assist whilst Draymond Green finished with eight points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Houston's Chris Paul who finished with 19 points, two rebounds and an assist described the game as a "tough loss" for his team and suggested that they have got to be more aggressive in the next game especially with turnovers.
"We've got to be better, offensively, defensively, especially myself, turnovers," he said lamenting their defeat "We didn't get stops when we needed to."
