NBA Playoffs: Golden State Take Game 2 With 115-109 Win Over Houston Rockets
Game 2, tough and energetic with a bit of techincal dramatic, yet went to Golden State by 115-109 win over Houston Rockets with Kevin Durant leading the team through with 29 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds.
Rockets, probably could have been better off had James Harden not gone down with eye injury when contested against by Durant midway first quarter.
Having said that, Golden State dominated the game and were able to keep Houston in the trail through out as Harden led Rockets with 29 points, 4 assists and 7 rebounds.
Steve Curry who raked in 20 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds also battled with injury in the first quarter. He was seen leaving the court for the locker room to have his finger examined and returned three minutes later.
"It hurts but it'll be alright. I didn't break anything," Curry said on his injury "Some higher powers were looking out for me on that one, but hopefully before Sunday that goes away. "
Whilst Golden State tactics of incapacitating Harden and Chris Paul prevailed, Clint Capela and P.J Tucker had some space to show their skills and both finished the game with double-double.
Tucker notched 13 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists whilst Capela ended with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
Meanwhile, late in the third after Harden's free throw, Draymond Green and NeNe burst into rage and both bagged a technical. It will be be Green's third in the playoffs. However, he finished the game with double-double of 15 points, 7 assists and 12 rebounds.
