Naira Marley Released On Bail Set At £4,400, Two Sureties

Nigerian pop singer Naira Marley has been granted bail set at £4,400 (#2 million) and two sureties after a hearing at the Federal High court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Marley who was arrested on suspicion of involvement in cyber crime alongside three other accomplices early this month.
In the artist's bail application, his lawyer Olalekan Ojo pleaded for his absence at the first hearing and argued that his client is presumably innocent of allegations levelled against him. 
According to Sahara Reporters, Rotimi Oyedepo who is prosecuting the 'I'm I A Yahoo Boy' singer urged the court to accelerate his trial as against granting him a release because he is a celebrity whose "actions and inactions have a multiplier effect" on his fans. 
Marley's case has been adjourned to October for further hearing at the court presided over by Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
