Madrid Open: Novak Djokovic Beats Stefanos Tsitispas To Win title

Novak Djokovic claimed his third Mutua Madrid Open title beating in the final Greek ace Stefanos Tsitispas in straight sets 6-3 6-4 on Sunday.
It will be the world no. 1 33rd ATP Masters 1000 title as he levels with Spaniard veteran and world no. 2 Rafael Nadal in Masters 1000 all-time biggest winners.
Djokovic described the tournament as the sport's biggest "important to get" and not to forget that the Grand Slams are equally as big.
Mutual Madrid Open will be Djokovic's 74th ATP major single titles and second title of the season since winning his first at the Australian Open in February.
The 20-year-old Next Gen ATP champion who ousted second seed, Rafael Nadal, came under intense aggression from the top seed who claimed two break points from his first service to win the opener.
Stefanos came back stronger in the second set but could not crack the Serb's tenacity and hit a forehand inside-in to wrap the final up for his first match win in their second ATP FedEx series.
Djokovic praised his opponent for being a "very talented" player for having to beat Rafa [Nadal] in the semi-finals and it is obvious in the "dynamics in his movements" that his last game with the Spaniard wore him out.
"He had a very late night," says Djokovic "I could see he wasn't as dynamic in his movements as he was last night. That's probably due to the long match he had. But he's had a terrific week and it's a big win obviously for me today and in this tournament."
