Lamar Odom Endorses Juwan Howard For L.A Lakers Head Coach

Lamar Odom has a suggestion to make for L.A Lakers owner Jeanie Buss on appointing a suitable replacement for her ousted head coach Luke Walton.
There was serious when Magic Johnson resigned his position as the franchise president followed by Walton's dismissal for failing to lead the team to NBA playoffs in his three-year reign as the head coach.
Johnson did explain that his decision to leave after two years has nothing to do with Walton rather he did to save the 38-year-old's coach job and neither general manager Rob Pelinka nor owner Buss was informed ahead of announcing his departure.
Lakers have interviewed some candidates for the role but the former Lakers forward gave his support to Juwan Howard who he believed would best fit in the role because he was previously with LeBron James at Miami Heat.
Explaining his reasons for suggesting Juwan for Lakers, the former NBA star said TMZ Sport that they need "somebody that has some presence. Somebody that can handle having LeBron on your team."
Contrary to Odom's opinion, the ESPN hinted that amongst candidates interviewed, Tyronn Lue and the franchise are close in on reaching an agreement for a deal as Luke Walton's replacement.
Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN wrote in a tweeted message that the league source revealed: "The Lakers are proceeding toward an offer to Ty Lue in the coming days, and have no plans to introduce new candidates into the head coach searching process."
