Italian Open: Roger Federer Withraws From Quarter-final Match With Stefanos Tsitsipas

Roger Federer has pulled out of the Internazionali d'italia Open just hours before his quarter-final match with Greek veteran Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The four-time finalist blamed his decision to withdraw on the injury he sustained during the third round match with Borna Coric when he slid on the baseline and hurt his leg.
He revealed that he had consulted with his medical team on his fitness for the match before he was advised not to play.
"I am disappointed that I will not be able to compete today. I am not 100 per cent physically and after consultation with my team, it was determined that I not play," he said.
The Swiss is yet to win a title in Rome and has only played two matches at the tournaments before pulling out for leg injury.
The Swiss who has never withdrawn from a match in his career said: "Rome has always been one of my favourite cities to visit and I hope to be back next year...I don't quite understand how players just go with it when they water the court."
