Inter Milan Appoint Antonio Conte As Manager
Inter Milan has announced the appointment of Antonio Conte as team manager just a day after the club sacked former manager Luciano Spalletti.
Spalletti was dismissed after leading Inter to clinch a Champions League spot having won their last league game against Empoli on Sunday.
Inter president Steven Zhang expressed his confidence in the former Chelsea manager saying "I'm certain he'll help us achieve our objective and fulfil our mission, one which has always remained the same: to make this club one of the best in the world again."
During the 46-year-old spell at Chelsea, he led the team to win the Premier League (2016-17) on his debut season and the FA Cup (2017-18) in the same season he was sacked.
"I'm really excited," Conte said on his appointment "I have chosen Inter because of the club it is, because of how ambitious it is."
