Gareth Bale's "Stay" At Real Madrid Impossible, Says Real Madrid Ex President Ramon Calderon
It appears Gareth Bale has reached the end of his stay at Real Madrid following a statement from its former president Ramon Calderon which could literally mean a soon-to-be exit of the forward.
Real manager Zinedine Zidane had earlier described the Welshman as one not "fit" in his squad after leaving him unused on the bench during their 2-0 home defeat to Real Betis on Sunday.
Bale's leave is certainly not in doubt since Zidane's return to the club. The Frenchman's interest in Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard and Manchester United's Paul Pogba and the club's plan to sell some players to raise fund had put Bale's stay on the line.
Calderon statement during an interview with the BBC Sport Wales, further cast a shadow on Bale's future at Bernabeu saying that his relationship with Zidane is such "that will come to an end."
"It seems it (match with Real Betis on Sunday) was his last game for Real Madrid," Calderon to the BBC Sport Wales.
"Zidane, last year when he left, he thought it was imperative to keep (Cristiano) Ronaldo and to sell Bale and they decided not to do that. It seems it is impossible for him to be here...The best thing for him is to move. He should take the opportunity if there is one."
Speaking about the next possible move by the club on Bale's future, he said: "They will find a loan or a transfer for perhaps a low amount of money."
Bale moved to Real from Tottenham on then record signing of £85 million and has scored 78 goals in 155 appearances. During this period, he won one La Liga and four Champions League title with the club.
