Frank Ribery And Arjen Robben To Leave Bayern Munich In Summer
Frank Ribery will end his 12 years stint at Bayern Munich when he runs out of contract with the club this summer
The winger, 36, who joined the Bundesliga side from Marseille for £17 million in 2007, has not been linked with any move and wants to remain active but not sure about what next season holds for him.
"I don't have a concrete plan for next season yet," says Ribery in a statement "I'm not sure where I can go to play football."
Ribery's German teammate Arjen Robben will also be leaving the club in summer as both will be out of contract by then.
Speaking about their contributions to the club, the Frenchman told the club website "It won't be easy to say goodbye, but we must never forget what we've achieved together, we've won so much together - more than 20 honours."
The club's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, in a statement also acknowledged the pair's immense contributions to the club and revealed that they will be given "wonderful" farewell.
"Bayern owes a lot to both of them," Karl-Heinz mentioned in his statement "We will give them a wonderful and emotional farewell...They've helped shaped Bayern's most successful decade."
