Deontay WIlder Knocks Out Dominic Breazale In First-Round To Retain WBC Title
Deontay Wilder stunned his opponent Dominic Breazale with a first-round knockout and retained his WBC heavyweight title.
Breazale only lasted less than 43 seconds with Wilder who caught him off guard with his right-hand throw that landed on his chin and fell flat on the floor.
The 33-year-old champion extended his first-round knockout run to 20-in-40 and has only drawn against British fighter Tyson Fury in December last year in his career 42 bouts.
Ahead of Wilder's bout with Breazale, he was heavily criticised for his statement that made headlines that he desires to take the life his opponent in the ring.
"I think it will happen. It's going to happen. I believe in all my heart it will happen...I think it's our duty and obligation to get the fans what they want."

"I don't regret anything I said, I wouldn't say it if I did," Wilder responded when asked about his statement of wanting fatality for his opponent.
"I'm the realest champion in the business. I wouldn't say nothing I don't mean but it's one thing to say something and it's another thing to actually do it and tonight that didn't happen."
When asked if his bout with Anthony Joshua would ever happen, he assured that it will definitely happen because it is their duty to meet with their fans request."I think it will happen. It's going to happen. I believe in all my heart it will happen...I think it's our duty and obligation to get the fans what they want."
