David Beckham Served Six-Month Driving Ban For Using His Phone Behind Wheel
David Beckham has been served six-month driving ban and a fine of £750 after being found guilty of using his electronic telephone device while driving in his Bentley.
The former England captain who pleaded guilty to the charge leveled against him was also given six points on his license during a briefing at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Beckham's prosecutor Matthew Spratt argued that the football star was spotted by a member of the public who photographed him holding his phone as he drove in his Bentley around Great Portland Street back in November.
"Instead of looking straight forward, paying attention to the road, he appeared to be looking at his lap," Matthew Spratt argued.
Gerrard Tyrrell, the ex-Real Madrid star player lawyer, argued that his client can not recollect "the day in question or this particular incident" but chose to plead guilty anyway since he can not remember.
