Champions League Last 4: Barcelona Humiliate Liverpool Winning 3-0 In First Leg
Barcelona edge closer to their first UEFA Champions League final in four years after winning 3-0 against Liverpool in the first leg of the semi-final tie at Nou Camp.
Liverpool did their best with Mo Salah making threatening efforts but Barcelona had a much sharper forwards, the likes of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi who scored a brace for his 600th goal with the club.
It did not take long in the first half before Suarez scored the opening goal by sneaking past Reds defeners to flick into the net Jordi Alba's curling shot.
After all efforts from the English side to get an equaliser proved futile despite Mo Salah coming close in the second, Messi doubled the lead tapped in a rebound after Suarez's lobbed shot from inside the box clipped cross bar.
The Argentine would later made it a third goal for a brace and his 600th for Barcelona with a spectacular curling shot from a free-kick with eight minutes remaining.
Technically, it became obvious to Reds that they have conceded the first leg to Spaniards as the match proceeded to full time without them getting a goal in.
It is definitely going to be a tough one for Liverpool to make it to the final with Barcelona already having three goals advantage from the first leg. Both teams will meet for the second leg at Anfield on 7th May.
