Antonio Conte Closes On Deal With Inter Milan

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly close to securing a contract with Inter Milan as the club's new manager
Conte stands the chance to replace Luciano Spalletti who led Inter to finish fourth in Series last season and are currently fourth in the league with one more game remaining. Luciano took over from caretaker manager Stefanos Vecchi in 2017 as a replacement for Frank de Boer.
Presently, they are fourth in Serie A with 66 points and need to win their home game and last for the season against Empoli on Sunday to secure a place in Champions League - a loss would forfeit their place in the competition if AC Milan which trail with 65 points won against SPAL on Sunday.
However, Sky Sports Italy revealed that Conte, 49, has been in talks with Inter for the past two weeks and both parties are close to reaching an agreement.
Conte, in his two years reign at Chelsea, led the club to win the FA Cup (2018) and in the same year, he was dismissed after leading Blues to fifth place in the Premier League, missing out Champions League qualification.
