Tiger Woods Wins First Masters Since 2005
Tiger Woods ended a decade long title drought with his fifth Masters title and 15th career major tournament title in Augusta, Georgia on Sunday.
With seven holes remaining and Francesco Molinari leading, Tiger completed a stunning comeback with two-under 70 and scored 13 under par to clinch his first major title in 14 years.
"I'm a little hoarse from yelling," delighted Woods said after winning the tournament "I was just trying to olod my way around all day then all of a sudden I had the lead."
Last season, Woods won the Tour Championship dor his 80th career PGA title having missed winning Masters in 2016 and 2017.
The final round was a disappointing one for Molinari whose tee shot went into water, devastating his opportunity of staying contest against Woods and had to leave with a double-bogey five.
"I was a patient as I have been in years. I kept control of my emotion, shot, placement...To see that leaderboard it was a who's who. And it all flipped at 12 when Franscesco made a mistake."
