Premier League: Arsenal Move To Third Pace After 2-0 Home Win Over Newcastle

Arsenal have moved up three places to be third in the table after beating Newcastle 2-0 at Emirates Stadium, leaving behind their London rivald Tottenham and Manchester United in fourth and fifth position respectively.
Unai Emery's men controlled the game and had better scoring chances than magpies, against whom they would have scored more had referee not ruled out two goals - from Aaron Ramsey and Alexander Lacazette in both halves of the game.
After Ramsey's goal was disallowed, he smashed in a low cut shot from inside the area after the ball bounced off Newcastle's defender's foot when Lacazette was trying to drive in on the ball inside the 18-yard box.
After the break, Lacazette brilliantly lobbed the ball over keeper Martin Dubravka, who had rushed out for the ball when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed a pass to the Frenchman.
The match ended in Arsenal's 10th consecutive Premier League home game win and their 28th match win against Newcastle in the Premier League.
Having won the match, Arsenal with 63 points, trailed ManchesterCity by 14 points and table leaders Liverpool by 16 points.
