NBA Playoffs: L.A Clippers Stunned Warriors With Late Comeback To Win 131-135
Warriors were left stunned as L.A Clippers staged a thrilling comeback to snap a Game 2 131-135 victory at Oracle Arena on Monday.
It was dawn on Warriors that they had lost when Clippers regained lead by 131-133 from Landry Shamlet's three-point shot with 15.9 second remaining.
Steve Curry, who led the standouts for Warriors with 29 points, 6 assists and a rebound, tried to connect a three-point but it bounced off the rim to Montrezl Harrell catch, who scored two free-throws after he was fouled.
Meanwhile, Warriors seemed off for a win having dominated and led the stats through to mid-way the third quarter before it came crashing down on them as Clippers kept borrowing through offensively to win the game.
Clippers' comeback was mostly inspired by Montrezl and Lou Williams who together notched up almost half of points in the fourth quarter as the side outlasted Warriors by 23-41.
Williams, who finished the game with 36 points, 11 assists, and 2 rebounds told reporters that initially they felt lost in the game but regain confidence when deficit was reduced 12 points in third quarter.
"Once you cut the lead to 12...thrn yourealise you've got a game going. I'm one of those guys who can get hot and i just got lost in the moment," says Williams.
